CCV Payson Hosts

Lance & Holly Marble

Lance is originally from Albuquerque and graduated from Midwest Christian College in Oklahoma City. Holly moved to Tempe with her family from Ontario, Canada when she was a small child. After the ups and downs of life, they were "set up" on a date in 1999 and were married a year later. They built a home in Payson in 2019, after living in NE Mesa for the previous 20 years. "Having visited here for decades, we couldn't be happier with our decision to make Payson our home and we're thrilled to be able to share CCV with our neighbors in Rim Country." Before moving to Mesa, Lance was very involved with CCV when it was in the "The Castle" as well as at the High School. Like many people, CCV became their Church home (again) during COVID, this time online.

Lance Marble

Lance Marble

Lance Marble

Lance moved to Arizona in 1989 and to Rim Country, after selling his Financial Services Business in NE Mesa, in 2020. He started out as a Pastor, worked for a couple of national non-profit organizations in Phoenix and then 25 years as a financial advisor and investment manager.

He grew up going to church in NM, worked in churches in Oklahoma and Arizona, served as a teacher in multiple churches and was an Elder as well. After retiring early in Payson, God "tapped him on the shoulder" again and began opening the doors that led to the inception of CCV Payson. He's enjoying using his life and Church experience to help build God's Kingdom here in Rim Country.

In his spare time, he loves spending time with family and woodworking in his small garage shop.

Emily Shy

A second-generation Arizona native, Emily was born and raised in Phoenix. Although she didn’t grow up with any church or background of faith, while Emily was working through some serious personal challenges she was introduced to Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) and never looked back. She began attending CCV in the Valley in 2014, accepted Christ and was baptized in June 2015 and has served as a CCV Coach for several years.

With an extensive background in finance and accounting, Emily was offered a job as Finance Manager for the Town of Payson, and she and her daughter Chloe moved to Rim Country in August 2023. When Emily heard that CCV Payson was forming, she knew it was where God wanted her to be, and she is thrilled to be a part of spreading the word about Christ in this part of her home state.

A lover of the outdoors, Emily spends much of her spare time with Chloe enjoying activities like hiking, paddleboarding and exploring.

Mark Toombs

Frank Tresnak

Frank Tresnak

Although Mark was born in Texas, he pretty much considers himself an Arizona native, having lived in the Grand Canyon State since he was 4 years old. Now "semi" retired, Mark has many years of experience in sales, marketing and management for industries that included fuel, elevators and forklifts.

Mark and his wife Barbara were married in 2007 and became members of CCV Chandler (within walking distance of their home in the Valley) in 2018, where they were very involved with serving in various capacities, including coaching a CCV Group.

After moving to Payson in early 2022, they “attended” CCV Online – until receiving the wonderful news that CCV was coming to Rim Country! Mark is excited to be involved in growing the CCV community in this beautiful part of the state. He and Barbara now host a Life Group at CCV Payson.

Frank has lived in Arizona since 1985, residing in the Phoenix area until he and his wife, Ellen, purchased a home in Payson in 2017. Before retiring, he worked in a variety of sales organizations, primarily in accounting, payroll, and tax solutions, software and related services.

Born and raised in Iowa, Frank spent 13 years in the Twin Cities before relocating to Arizona. Over the years, he has been actively involved in his community, serving as a youth basketball coach, Sunday school teacher, church council president and leader of a men’s Bible study at a Scottsdale congregation. In Payson, he continues his commitment to service as a volunteer with the Rim Country Museum and Zane Grey Cabin, as well as contributing time to the Western Heritage and Film Festival.

When CCV Payson was forming, Frank and Ellen were invited by to worship at the watch site in the Marbles' home. This started his journey with CCV Payson—hearing the messages, worshiping in fellowship and helping share the CCV experience as the CCV family has grown in the Rim Country.
